Another Quick Animation: Empty Square

Made this little project today; wanted to do something a bit more ‘frame by frame’ then the massive 3D/particle styled stuff I’ve been playing with recently. There isn’t really a point to it, but it’s designed like the ‘logo cards’ you get at the end of TV shows and films.

(Lesson learnt today: things have to fall faster then you’d think to look realistic.)

It’s (not) Christmas!

This “Christmas comes early” news story found on the BBC just reminded me of a sketch I wrote for the South West scriptwriters Christmas show 2008. Just added the script  to my writing page, but you can download it directly here. (PDF)

Long Awaited Update

So I haven’t been very successful in keeping this current. What with searching, applying and getting work, the time I had for writing I spent on more interesting (read potentially paid) projects.

Still with no radio jobs on the go, and a regular IT job now, hopefully I shall get into posting again.

First off I’ve updated my animations page with this new five second project I made a couple of weeks ago.

More Writing

I’ve yet to put much writing up here, but you can listen to some of my writing via this weeks Newsjack.  (Click here and hit listen now for the iPlayer link.) It’s a topical show, so although it’s up until the end of Jan, it probably makes more sense listening sooner rather then later.

I’ll also take the time to mention there’s also a podcast option here which you can add to your itunes (or other better podcast software) so you never miss the show again.

2009 Advent Cartoon Round Up.

So, as it turns out, there’s actually some big public holiday (or two) right after the end of advent, that makes it much harder to finish up cartoons if you’re more than slightly behind. Still, I’ve finished them all up, and all 24 cartoons are now present and correct (The last of the most recent batch are backdated slightly so they’re all at least in the right month/year, if not the right day).

I’ve also taken the time to re-export most of the previous posted cartoons at better settings, because I found what was making them ‘pixelly’.

All of the 2009 cartoons can now also be found here: Advent Cartoons 2009.
